Hadrian's Library

Michelin Guide
Historical and archaeological site
The Michelin Guide's review
This vast complex was built in AD 131 under the aegis of Emperor Hadrian, acting as a library, a forum, an archive storage centre and a temple. Dexippou street offers a good view of its ruins, while part of its walls can still be seen in Eolou street. The west wall has retained an attractive series of columns.
