The Michelin Guide's review
Not far from the port of Inobe, but separated from it by a peninsula, Wanjo is one of the loveliest beaches on the north coast of Okinoerabu island, as well as being the least busy. Its gentle slope, its shallow, crystal-clear waters that beckon you in for a swim, its distance from the coral reef and its sandbar lend it much charm. Further inland, beneath the rock face, a spring nestles amid thick vegetation, along with curious cavities where the islanders used to bury their dead.
