The Michelin Guide's review
This long-established inn by the church is always busy and much loved by its many regulars. Appearing in records as a tavern as early as the 16C, it has now been run by the same family for five generations. The cosy interior features an old tiled stove providing warmth in winter. In summer, a secluded beer garden, a veranda and even a rooftop terrace beckon. The Bavarian and Styrian cuisine includes appetising options such as venison goulash with butter spaetzle, red cabbage and aronia berries. Seasonal ingredients from the immediate area are used whenever possible. It is a real plus that on every day that it is open for dinner, the restaurant also serves lunch. Attractive guestrooms.
