Even over 25 years after it opened, Vinaiolo continues to bring a slice of la dolce vita to Haidhausen. A charming, well-drilled team provides attentive service, with a spirit that is tipicamente italiano. Although the Italian cuisine served here is not focused on any particular region, it is unfailingly authentic. Dishes such as house-made tagliatelle with lamb ragù and chanterelles or Chianina beef fillet with fermented peppercorns, layered potato and chicory whet the appetite. Lunchtime brings attractive options in the form of a reasonably priced set menu and daily specials. The wine list features a very appealing selection of Italian labels. The cosy, authentic atmosphere is accentuated by furnishings salvaged from a Trieste grocer's shop dating back to 1904!
