It is difficult not to succumb to the feelgood vibe of the snug interior, depicted by soft lighting and a view of the open kitchen. Chef Matthias rolls out a seasonal menu that shines the spotlight on cherry-picked veggies and gutsy sauces. High-precision craftsmanship, flawless cooking and the odd Asian twang set the scene. An example: melt-in-the-mouth suckling calf flanked by a gutsy veal gravy enhanced with miso for a distinctive hint of umami. Be it lunchtime or evening, choosing either the menu or à la carte is always a challenge, but Nikki is close at hand to help out!
