Opis

Set in the walls of the castle of Caen, the Fine Arts Museum is famous for its rich holdings that span the 15C to the 20C. The first rooms are devoted to European art of the 15C, 16C and 17C, followed by 18C portrait and landscape artists. Romantic masters (Delacroix), Realists (Courbet), Impressionists (Monet), Post-Impressionists (Bonnard) and Cubists are brought together in the rooms dedicated to the 19C and 20C. The contemporary collection and a cabinet of prints round up this picturesque journey.
