Opis

Welcome to the invisible part of the Roman forum - a feature unique to Arles, the central square of the Roman town actually had foundations. This "cryptoportico" has survived to this day, while the forum itself has almost completely disappeared. The twin horseshoe-shaped underground galleries (1C BC) comprise two vaulted corridors separated by a line of huge pillars and windows which let in natural light.
